Background & production

Its origins lie in the Bow Street Distillery John Jameson established in Dublin in 1780. Since 1975, all Jameson has been made at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork, now owned by Irish Distillers, part of Pernod Ricard.

It blends copper pot still whiskey, made from malted and unmalted barley, with lighter column-distilled grain whiskey, each triple distilled. There is no smokiness — just a clean, easy style.

Aged at least four years and bottled at 40%.
