Background & production

The top of the range from Jameson, founded in Dublin in 1780. It is now made at the Midleton distillery in County Cork by Irish Distillers, part of Pernod Ricard.

Made from locally sourced malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled, it is a pot-still-heavy blend that marries sherry- and bourbon-matured pot still and grain whiskeys for a balance of fruit and spice.

It is matured for 18 years in American and European oak and bottled at 40%.
