How to enjoy it

  • Highball
  • On the rocks

The fresh fruit is the point, so enjoy it neat or on the rocks. As a highball the green-apple freshness really shines.

Grilled white fish, salmon or apple tart — lighter dishes and desserts.

Background & production

A brand of Dublin wine merchants Mitchell & Son (established 1805), distilled at Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is a single pot still whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills.

The Mitchells marked their maturing casks with coloured paint spots to indicate the intended ageing period — the origin of names like Green and Yellow Spot.

There is no age statement, but it is said to combine pot still whiskeys of around 7 to 10 years, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and is bottled at 40%.
