How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • Highball

Best neat to enjoy the layers of citrus and spice; at 46.3% a few drops of water soften and open it. As a highball the citrus comes forward.

Food pairing

Buttery seafood dishes such as seared scallops or sole meunière. Also lovely with orange-peel chocolate.

Background & production

Made in the harbour town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, off Scotland's west coast. Founded in 1798, it is Mull's only whisky distillery; the name means 'Mary's Well' in Gaelic.

The distillery bottles its peated spirit as Ledaig and its unpeated spirit as Tobermory.

Launched in 2019 as the centrepiece of the core range, the 12 Year Old is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without chill filtration or added colour at 46.3% ABV.
