How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • Highball

Start neat to find the sweetness behind the peat; a few drops of water open up the citrus. It also makes a smoky highball that keeps its character.

Food pairing

Smoked seafood, oysters, blue cheese and dark chocolate.

Background & production

Made at Ardbeg Distillery on Islay's south coast. Introduced in 2000, the Ten is the core 10-year-old and one of the peatiest, smokiest single malts around.

It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% to retain maximum flavour, body and depth. Behind the intense peat are smoky fruit, citrus and spiced toffee.
