Background & production
Made at Ardbeg Distillery on Islay. It is named after the Corryvreckan, a powerful whirlpool north of Islay between the isles of Jura and Scarba.
It combines whisky from ex-bourbon casks and new French oak, which adds tannin and dark fruit. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 57.1%.
