Background & production

Built in 1794 in the centre of the harbour town of Oban in western Scotland. Its seaside position on the frontier between the West Highlands and the Western Isles gives a briny character with heather and gentle peat.

With just two pot stills and barely expanded since its founding, it is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries.

The 14 Year Old is its flagship and has represented the West Highlands in Diageo's Classic Malts series since its launch in 1987. Bottled at 43%.
