Background & production

A single malt from Cragganmore distillery at Ballindalloch in Speyside. Founded in 1869 by John Smith, it is now owned by Diageo.

Its spirit stills are short with flat tops, a distinctive shape said to shape the whisky's aroma and flavour.

The 12 Year Old was chosen to represent Speyside in the Classic Malts range launched by Diageo (then United Distillers). It is matured in refill American and European oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV.
