How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • On the rocks
  • Highball

Gentle enough neat to make a good first single malt, and its light fruitiness survives well in a highball.

Food pairing

Smoked salmon, grilled chicken and fruit desserts.

Background & production

A single malt from the Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Made only from malted barley and triple distilled, as is the distillery's tradition, using water from St Columb's Rill, which flows over basalt rock.

Aged at least 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 40%, it pairs bourbon-cask vanilla and honey with sherry-cask fruit.
