Background & production
Made at the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, now owned by Italy's Campari Group. The 13 Year Old Distiller's Reserve is a Japan-exclusive release, first introduced around 2014–2015 to succeed the earlier 12-year-old in Japan.
It is blended from barrels on the lower floors of the rickhouses, where cooler temperatures slow maturation and the proof rises less. Bottled at 91 proof (45.5%), it is lower in strength than the flagship 101.
