Smoked seafood, grilled shellfish, smoked cheese and bacon.

Background & production

Made at Kilchoman, founded in 2005 and one of Islay's newest distilleries. It is independent and known as a farm distillery, carrying out harvesting, distilling, ageing and bottling on the farm.

Machir Bay is aged in fresh bourbon casks and finished in oloroso sherry casks. It is named after the beach overlooked by Kilchoman Church, close to the distillery, and was launched in 2012.

Non-chill filtered, without added colouring, and bottled at 46%.
