How to enjoy it
- Neat
- With water
- Highball
Neat or with a few drops of water to find the sweetness behind the smoke. A highball lightens the peat while keeping the fruit.
Food pairing
Smoked duck, grilled scallops or blue cheese with grapes.
Background & production
Made at the Caol Ila distillery on the north-east coast of Islay, the largest distillery on the island and operated by Diageo.
The Distillers Edition is part of Diageo's annual series in which a single malt is given a second maturation in casks that held a fortified wine. For Caol Ila, Moscatel casks are used. Each release is dated with its distillation and bottling years and is bottled at 43%.
