Background & production

From Highland Park in Kirkwall on Orkney, one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries. It still floor-malts part of its barley and dries it over heather-rich Orkney peat.

The 15 Year Old joined the core range in 2021. Whisky Maker Gordon Motion built it mainly from first-fill European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks, with a small proportion of refill casks that let the distillery's gentle heather peat and light fruit come through.

It is bottled at 44% in a ceramic bottle made with Wade Ceramics, inspired by the earthenware vessels once used to store whisky.
