How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • On the rocks
  • Highball

Neat shows off the balance of fruit and spice. With no peat, it also stays sweet and fruity on the rocks or in a highball — an easy recommendation for newcomers.

Food pairing

Apple pie, nuts and hard cheeses. Also good with sweeter meat dishes such as pan-fried pork.

Background & production

Made at the foot of Dumgoyne hill, north of Glasgow. The Highland Line runs through the site, and since the stills sit on the Highland side, it is classed as a Highland malt.

Glengoyne dries its barley with warm air only and makes exclusively unpeated single malt. It matures its spirit in hand-selected sherry casks made from European and American oak.

The 12 Year Old sits between the 10 and 18 in the core range and is bottled at 43% ABV.
