Background & production
Made at Fettercairn distillery, in a village at the foot of the Grampians. It was founded in 1824 by local laird Sir Alexander Ramsay and is now owned by Whyte & Mackay.
A unique cooling ring runs cold water down the outside of the spirit stills to produce a lighter, purer spirit.
The 12 Year Old, matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, is the core expression of the distillery's tropical house style. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
