How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • Highball

At 50% it rewards tasting neat first, then adding water a little at a time to open up the fruit and floral notes. As a smoke-free Islay, it also makes a fresh, bright highball.

Food pairing

Seafood with sweetness and salinity — white fish carpaccio or seared scallops.

Background & production

The core bottling of Bruichladdich Distillery, on the shore of Loch Indaal on Islay. While many Islay distilleries use peated malt, this one is made from unpeated malt and is presented as the showcase of the distillery's house style.

It is made from 100% Scottish barley and matured in American oak. It is bottled at 50% on Islay without chill filtration or added colouring.
