Background & production

A bourbon from Heaven Hill in Kentucky, distilled at its Bernheim distillery in Louisville. It is named after Reverend Elijah Craig, whom Heaven Hill credits as the first to age whiskey in charred oak barrels.

The Small Batch was launched in 1986 with a 12-year age statement. In 2016 the age statement was dropped and it moved to a mix of 8- and 12-year-old bourbon.

It is bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof).
