Background & production

The original whisky of the Black Nikka series, created in 1965 by Nikka's blenders, who set out to make a whisky suited to Japanese palates.

It includes Nikka's own Coffey grain whisky, made in old-style Coffey continuous stills, combining robust malt aromas with the soft sweetness of the grain and a bittersweet depth.

Bottled at 42% ABV in 700ml bottles.
