Its aromas survive dilution well, making it a good mizuwari with meals. On the rocks, oak sweetness and soft peat balance nicely.

Background & production
A blended whisky released in 1962 by Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru. It is said that, soon after losing his wife Rita, Taketsuru threw himself into creating this blend as an expression of his love for her.
It is a classic style with gentle peat, vanilla and sherry notes and a smooth texture.
