How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • On the rocks
  • Highball

Its soft sweetness suits sipping neat or over ice. As a highball, the apple and pear notes come through lightly.

Food pairing

Apple tart, scones with marmalade or hard cheeses. Pork chops work well too.

Background & production

The core bottling from the distillery in Tomnavoulin, Ballindalloch, in Speyside. Built in 1966, the distillery is run by Whyte & Mackay, and much of its spirit goes into the company's blends.

Double Cask arrived as the first official Tamnavulin bottling in more than two decades. The spirit matures in American oak ex-bourbon casks before a finish in sherry butts.

It is bottled at 40% ABV.
