How to enjoy it
- Neat
- With water
- On the rocks
Neat is best for enjoying the balance of smoke and fruit. A little water brings the sweetness forward. On the rocks, the salt and pepper character holds up well.
Food pairing
Oysters and smoked salmon, as well as sweet-glazed smoked dishes and dark chocolate.
Background & production
A single malt from Talisker distillery in Carbost on the Isle of Skye, known for smoke from peated malt, coastal salinity and peppery spice.
The Distillers Edition is Diageo's 'double matured' series. Talisker's version is finished in casks that held Amoroso, a sweetened style of oloroso sherry, which adds fruit to the smoke and salt.
It is released with distillation and bottling years on the label and bottled at 45.8% ABV, the same strength as the 10 Year Old.
