Sip it neat to appreciate the complexity of the long ageing. A few drops of water soften the smoke and open up the sweet fruit and toffee.

Background & production
An 18-year-old single malt from Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye, founded in 1830 by the MacAskill brothers and now operated by Diageo.
It is matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 45.8% ABV, like the core Talisker range. In 2007 it was named the World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards.
The classic Talisker brine, pepper and smoke are joined by the dried-fruit and butterscotch sweetness of long maturation.
