Background & production

Made at Bowmore, which has been distilling on Islay since 1779. Its seaside No.1 Vaults, where casks have rested since that year, are among the oldest maturation warehouses in the world, and the distillery still runs traditional floor maltings.

The 15 Year Old is double matured: 12 years in bourbon barrels, then a final three years in oloroso sherry casks, adding rich, chocolatey and spicy notes to Bowmore's maritime peat.

It is bottled at 43%.
