How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water

Rich and complex, it rewards slow sipping neat. A few drops of water loosen the dried-fruit sweetness and coastal salinity.

Food pairing

Rich foods: dark chocolate, dried fruit, blue cheese or roast meats.

Background & production

Made at Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. Founded in 1828 and owned by the Mitchell family since 1872, it is a family-run distillery that carries out every step from malting to bottling on site.

It uses lightly peated malt and its distinctive two-and-a-half-times distillation.

The 15 Year Old, a core expression alongside the 10, is matured exclusively in sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration and at natural colour.
