Background & production
A collaboration between the Brown family of Kentucky's Brown-Forman and the Conyngham family, owners of Slane Castle in Ireland. The distillery stands on the castle grounds in the Boyne Valley.
Triple-distilled grain and malt whiskeys are matured in three cask types. Virgin oak raised at Brown-Forman's cooperages lends toast, vanilla and chocolate; seasoned casks that held American whiskey add caramel, plum and banana; and Spanish oloroso sherry casks bring raisin, spice and nuts.
Bottled at 40%.
