Gentle enough to enjoy neat, where the nutty, baked-apple sweetness comes through clearly. Over ice it tightens up and works well alongside food.

Background & production
Made at Dufftown distillery in the Speyside town of the same name. The distillery was converted from an old mill in 1896, bought by the Perth blenders Arthur Bell & Sons in 1933, and is now owned by Diageo.
In 2006 it joined Glen Ord and Glendullan under the Singleton name, with the Dufftown version aimed mainly at the UK and Europe.
The 12 Year Old draws on a high proportion of European oak casks and is bottled at 40% ABV — a smooth, nutty and approachable malt.
