Background & production
A single malt from Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, which first ran spirit in 1887 and is still owned by the family firm of founder William Grant.
After 21 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is moved into casks that held Caribbean rum for a finish of up to about four months. It is considered the original rum-cask-finished single malt.
Classic Speyside fruit is joined by tropical sweetness and spice from the rum casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
