Light and easy-going, it makes a highball where the fruit shines through. It is also easy over ice — a good first single malt.

Fried chicken, tempura or fruity starters. As a highball it works well with a meal.
Background & production
Made at the Glen Grant distillery in Rothes, Speyside. Founded in 1840 by the Grant brothers, it owes its light, fruity spirit to the tall, slender stills and purifiers introduced by James Grant the younger. It is now owned by Italy's Campari Group.
The name Arboralis draws on a Latin phrase meaning "light from within the trees", likening the whisky's golden colour to light filtering through the trees around the distillery.
It is drawn from ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks and bottled without an age statement at 40% ABV.
