Background & production
Made at Glen Moray on the banks of the River Lossie in Elgin, Speyside. A converted brewery, it began distilling in 1897 and was bought by the owners of Glenmorangie in the 1920s. It is now owned by France's La Martiniquaise.
The Classic is the distillery's entry-level malt, matured entirely in American oak casks. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 40% ABV.
