How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • Highball

Neat is the way to appreciate its oily, weighty texture. A few drops of water open up the sweet fruit. It also holds up well as a highball.

Food pairing

Savoury dishes like roast beef, game or hard cheeses.

Background & production

From Craigellachie Distillery in Speyside, which still condenses its spirit in traditional worm tubs, giving a heavy, characterful style often described as meaty.

The distillery's single malt range was first released in 2014. The 13 Year Old draws on ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and is bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring.
