How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • Highball

Unchill-filtered, so try it neat first to appreciate the texture; a few drops of water open up the fruit. As a highball the honey and red-fruit aromas come through lightly.

Food pairing

Roast pork, honey-mustard chicken, hard cheeses such as Cheddar, or berry tarts.

Background & production

The flagship of the Cotswolds Distillery, founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor in the Cotswolds, England. Released in 2017, it was the first whisky ever made in the Cotswolds.

It uses 100% local Cotswold barley, traditionally floor-malted. Maturation combines STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) red wine barriques with first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, bringing out red fruit and honey.

It carries no age statement and is bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
