Background & production
The brand traces back to 1857, when J.P. Wiser began running a distillery in Prescott, Ontario. Five years later he became its sole owner, and by the early 1900s it was the third-largest distillery in Canada.
The company merged with Hiram Walker in 1935, and the whisky is now made at Hiram Walker & Sons' distillery in Windsor, Ontario. The brand is owned by Corby Spirit and Wine, part of Pernod Ricard.
Deluxe is the brand's signature blend, bottled at 40% ABV.
