Background & production
Named after George Roe, whose Thomas Street distillery in Dublin covered 17 acres and was once the largest in Ireland.
Launched by Diageo in March 2017, it blends hand-selected Irish malt and grain whiskeys aged in bourbon casks. Bottled at 45% and not chill filtered.
Diageo set up a new distillery in the former power house of the brewery near Guinness's St James's Gate, and began distilling there in June 2019.
