The flagship bourbon of Louisville-based Michter's, and the centrepiece of its US*1 range.

The new-make spirit is reduced to 103 proof (51.5%) before going into charred new American white oak barrels. This entry proof is well below the legal maximum of 125, which is said to draw a wider range of flavour from the wood.

Each batch is assembled in a tank holding no more than twenty barrels. It is bottled at 45.7% ABV (91.4 proof).
