Background & production
Using Johnnie Walker Black Label as its blueprint, it increases the proportion of peaty malts from Scotland's West Coast and Islay. It is matured in heavily charred old casks, deepening the smoke and adding toasted oak and caramel.
Launched first in travel retail, it went on general release in 2011. Bottled at 40%.
