A well-known highball whisky — its smooth sweetness stretches nicely with soda. Also easy on the rocks or in cocktails.

Background & production

The flagship blend of John Dewar & Sons, founded in Perth, Scotland, in 1846. Built around malt from Aberfeldy (founded 1898) in the Highlands, it combines Highland, Speyside and Lowland malts with grain whisky — up to 40 whiskies in all.

After each whisky is matured, the blend goes back into casks for around six months to marry — Dewar's "double aging". Bottled at 40%.
