Background & production
Made at the Jack Daniel distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Launched in 2017, Tennessee Rye uses the first new grain recipe at the distillery in well over a century: 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley.
Like Old No. 7, the new spirit is filtered through sugar-maple charcoal — the Lincoln County Process required for Tennessee whiskey — before it goes into barrels. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 45%.
