How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • On the rocks

Mellow and without rough edges, it suits slow sipping neat. A few drops of water open up the fruit; over ice the sweetness tightens.

Food pairing

Smoked salmon, cheese or nuts. After dinner, try it with honey-based desserts.

Background & production

Made at the Dalwhinnie distillery in the Central Highlands, at around 326 metres above sea level. Founded in 1898, it is regarded as one of the highest distilleries in Scotland and is now owned by Diageo.

Its water comes from a spring in the nearby hills, and it condenses its spirit in traditional worm tubs.

The 15 Year Old is the core bottling and one of Diageo's Classic Malts, bottled at 43% ABV.
