Background & production
Made at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky. Blanton's, launched in 1984, is regarded as the first modern single-barrel bourbon brand. It is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who had the best barrels from Warehouse H set aside and bottled.
The Gold Edition is a premium selection drawn from the finest Blanton's barrels. Whiskey aged in Warehouse H is bottled one barrel at a time.
It is bottled at 51.5% ABV (103 proof), higher than the 46.5% Original, for a more powerful style.
