How to enjoy it

  • Neat
  • With water
  • On the rocks

At 46% it has plenty of body, so try it neat or with a splash of water to explore the layers of fruit and cocoa. Over ice the sweetness tightens up nicely after dinner.

Food pairing

Fruit tarts, nuts and chocolate. Aged cheeses too.

Background & production

A single malt from Benriach, south of Elgin in northern Speyside. Founded in 1898, it is now owned by Brown-Forman.

The Twelve is part of the core range refreshed in 2020. It brings together spirit matured for at least 12 years in three cask types: sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks.

It is unpeated, bottled at 46% ABV, and its colour comes naturally from the casks.
